With car design and technology getting more and more advanced by the year, it's only logical that car dealerships and showrooms should do the same.
Leading the charge is Vauxhall, as the British carmaker has joined forces with Bristol Street Motors to build a state-of-the-art development in East London.
Known as a Vauxhall Brand Centre, this joint venture is the first of many new-look dealerships to be set up by the firm, bringing together forecourt sales and a hi-tech on-site workshop, covering servicing and repair.
Spread over two floors and covering 2,111m² of space, this is much more than just another sales centre. Indeed, the technology involved is quite a leap forward.
The Vauxhall Brand Centre includes a heat recovery system, which provides a significant reduction in carbon emissions, thus boosting the dealership's green credentials.
What's more, with the cars of the future firmly in mind, the centre also includes several easily accessible Electric Vehicle charge points for topping up your EV's batteries.
The new development has room for 12 brand new Vauxhall models as well as a further 75 used cars for potential buyers to run the rule over.
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors plc, said:
“A great deal of thought has been put into the design of the building, which will enhance the appearance of the site and provide a viable long-term development, the company will see it as their "flagship" dealership.”
Duncan Aldred, Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, said:
“We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Bristol Street Motors by jointly developing a new Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford. I am confident that, together, we will be able to brave tough market conditions building on the mutual strength of our brands and on our expertise in automotive retailing. I am particularly excited about our upcoming world class product portfolio and look forward to sharing this momentum with Vertu Motors.”
