Draw your Theatre of the Future

Win 40 tickets for your primary school to see this year’s production of The Little Mermaid Pantomime at the Newcastle Theatre Royal.

For your school’s chance to win tickets to the magical under the sea adventure, all pupils need to do is draw their own Theatre of the Future! The more creative, the better!

Competition

The competition will see four designs selected, with each winning school receiving 40 tickets to attend this year’s spectacular festive pantomime, The Little Mermaid on Tuesday 26th November at 2.00pm.

The winning designs will be displayed in the theatre for the duration of the panto’s run, offering pupils the unique opportunity to have their artwork showcased in a celebrated cultural venue.

How to enter

The competition closes on Tuesday 1st October at 23:59 (BST).

Entrants must be from local Newcastle based primary schools. All designs must be submitted by the school to: [email protected].

Terms and Conditions of Entry

This competition is provided by Vertu Motors plc, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 05984855 and whose registered office is at Vertu House, Fifth Avenue Business Park, Team Valley, Gateshead, NE11 0XA.

1. PRIZE: FOUR winning primary schools will receive 40 tickets to attend this year’s production of The Little Mermaid pantomime on Tuesday 26th November (40 tickets to include teachers, pupils and chaperones) (Prize). There is no cash alternative, the Prize cannot be exchanged for any other prize, transferred to an alternate date, sold for any financial amount or redeemed against existing bookings. The Prize does not include any associated costs or expenses (e.g. travel, food, drinks, or any additional costs). The winner is responsible for travel to and from the event.

2. ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to any pupil currently attending a local Newcastle based primary school. Entrants below the age of 18 must have parental consent to enter this competition and all designs must be submitted by the school to: [email protected].

Employees of Vertu and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners).

3. TIMING: This competition closes on Tuesday 1st October 2024 at 23:59pm (BST) (Promotion Period).

4. ENTRY: To be entered into the competition, each pupil must complete a design of their ‘Theatre of the Future’ and the school must submit an electronic copy of completed designs to [email protected] during the Promotion Period. Each pupil may only enter once. No purchase is necessary to enter. Entries must not contain any of the following material:

  • Copyrighted images, graphics, or characters.
  • Offensive language or images.

5. WINNER SELECTION: The competition winners will be selected by Vertu at its absolute discretion after the Promotion Period has ended. If a winning school is unable to attend the event and claim the Prize another winner may be selected to replace them with the effect that they will cease to be entitled to the Prize. Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Vertu is not responsible for lost, corrupted or delayed entries. Vertu reserves the right to disqualify anyone who it considers violates these Terms and Conditions.

6. USE OF YOUR ENTRY: Subject to agreement in advance with the school the winning pupil and school of the Prize: (1) consents to their full name being made publicly available and posted on social media as the winner (2) consents to, or agrees to, or take part in, any additional publicity which may be reasonably requested by Vertu Motors plc. Any other personal data you provide when you enter will only be used by Vertu Motors plc and agents acting on their behalf for the operation of this competition.

7. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Each winner will be contacted by Vertu or agents acting on its behalf via email to claim their Prize. If the winner is not contactable (i.e. has not (i) been reachable; and/or (ii) responded) within forty-eight (48) hours of the first attempt to contact them, another winner will be selected to replace them, and they will cease to be entitled to the Prize. The winner may be asked to provide documentation proving their eligibility before they are entitled to receive the Prize.

8. OTHER: No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Vertu's decision shall be final. Vertu reserves the right to amend, modify, or withdraw this competition at any time without notice before the Prize is claimed, and the winner confirmed. Participants in this competition agree that Vertu and its subsidiaries or group companies will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, costs, damage, disappointment, or losses of any kind resulting in whole or part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse, or use of a Prize, or from participation in this competition. Nothing in this clause shall limit Vertu Motors plc's or its subsidiaries' or group companies' liability in respect of death, or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or liability arising out of fraud. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Newcastle Theatre Royal.

9. SPIRIT OF THE COMPETITION: If an entrant attempts to compromise the integrity or the legitimate operation of this promotion by hacking or by cheating or by committing fraud in any way, we may seek damages from that entrant to the fullest extent permitted by the law. Further, we will disqualify that entrant's entry to this competition and may ban the entrant from participating in any of our future competitions, so please enter fairly.

10. LAW AND JURISDICTION: This competition and these terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The winner irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
