Hyundai has risen through the ranks to be named fourth best car maker in an annual survey.

Driver Power 2011 noted the opinions of over 23,000 motorists in Britain on the performance, reliability and practicality of models made by different manufacturers.

This year saw Hyundai jump two places on last year's survey, from sixth to fourth, showing the popularity of cars such as the i10, i20 and ix35.

Hyundai UK managing director Tony Whitehorn said the news illustrates the company's strong commitment to "customer satisfaction and brand investment".

"After a record breaking last two years in terms of sales, Hyundai has experienced an influx of new customers. These buyers have been surprised by the quality, reliability and performance of our cars," Mr Whitehorn commented.

The company is no stranger to awards, having received the Best City Car accolade from CarBuyer for the Hyundai i10 earlier this year after judges praised its reliability, low running costs, safety and owner satisfaction.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800499768-ADNFCR
