Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair promises to be a fun filled day in Margate

Vauxhall are taking their Vauxhall Art Car Boot fair to Turner Contemporary in Margate this August, along with a host of their revered vintage models.

The Art Car Boot Fair is an exuberant event, usually based in London, at which famous artists create special works and do business with the public directly.

For one day only on Sunday 30th August the event will be taken to the gallery on Kent's northern coast. Thanks to an Arts Council of England grant even more up-and-coming artists and performers get the chance to take part in the event alongside renown artists including Tracey Emin, Gavin Turk, Rachel Howard, Vic Reeves and Sir Peter Blake.

Visitors to the event will find a fun filled afternoon where they can find original works and special editions by leading artists at bargain prices.

Classic Vauxhall models such as the PA Velox, Viva HA, Royale, Firenza and Ventora will be on display for artists to use for their pitches at the event, whilst visitors are encouraged to bring their well-behaved dogs to take part in the dog show and the Dog in a Viva Boot Shoot.

Other activities and entertainment to be found at the event include spontaneous poetry and drama performances, outlandish performances on the Cabaret Futura stage and the Vanera Camera Obscura an ex-NATO camper van turned into a pinhole camera.
