A Vehicle Tour of the New PEUGEOT 308

The PEUGEOT 308 is a popular family car that’s known for its great styling, luxurious interior and comfortable cruising. It’s been on the scene for around 15 years, and the French manufacturer has just released a set of updates to make it the best model yet.

Watch our full vehicle tour below, or read on to learn more.

Exterior

The new 308 has a stylish exterior that features angular lines to enhance aerodynamics. It feels futuristic and upmarket from the get-go.

From the front, the brand-new PEUGEOT emblem that depicts a roaring lion sits in the centre of the grille. It is made from Indium which allows radar waves to penetrate through, giving an interesting and bold effect rather than just a standard metal badge.

The ‘lion’s tooth’ daytime running lights that double up as indicators are extremely clear and bright and give the vehicle a smart aesthetic. LED headlights also feature and come with auto dipping technology.

There are no washer jets on the bonnet of the new 308 – instead, jets have been placed within the windscreen wiper blades which makes for a more efficient screen wash as minimal water is wasted.

Moving around the side of the vehicle, our model had 17-inch two-tone diamond cut alloys which look incredible and grip the road perfectly. Other wheel options are available to suit your specific taste.

The model also features a new shark fin antenna on the roof - this is much better for enabling DAB radio and also generates much less wind noise than a traditional antenna would do.

At the rear, you’ll find the signature ‘lion’s claw’ LED taillights, and a high level brake light, with additional styling features such as the integrated spoiler, gloss black diffuser and chrome exhaust trims.

The new model will be available in both hatchback and station wagon (SW) style, as well as in petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrain options for ultimate versatility, depending on your needs.

Interior

The interior feels elegant, has a minimalistic style and soft materials have been used throughout the cabin to enhance comfort.

Starting in the back, passengers should feel relaxed thanks to the decent amount of leg and headroom on offer. There are also handy amenities such as an armrest with cupholders, USB-A and USB-C charge ports, air vents and LED reading lights.

The front cabin comes equipped with PEUGEOT’s latest i-Cockpit dashboard, which is full of innovative features. The 10.1-inch central display has impressive graphics and is operated much like a smartphone to make things simple. Here you can control your radio, media, sat nav, phone and climate functions. The fully customisable display means you can configure the menu exactly how you like.

The multi-functional steering wheel is pretty unique – it’s a lot smaller and sits a lot lower than what you may find on other similar models from other brands, however, it’s been designed with ergonomics in mind. When your hands are in a 10:2 position, it provides a more relaxing stance which is reflected in greater comfort – this is especially noticeable on longer-distance journeys.

The digital display is situated in a more natural position for drivers too – it’s placed above the steering wheel rather than within the gap, meaning that if you look at the road ahead, it sits perfectly within your eye-line.

PEUGEOT 308 Interior

There’s ample room in the boot too, with 412 litres of space on offer in the hatchback version, 608 litres in the estate version and 548 litres in the hybrid variant. This should be enough to fit your suitcases and shopping, and if you’re taking a trip to the DIY store, there’s a handy ski hatch that will accommodate longer items.

The new PEUGEOT 308 is a small, stand-out family car that comes packed with technology and offers a comfortable driving experience. With the option of hatchback or SW body styles and a choice of efficient powertrain options, it’s as flexible as you need it to be. Plus, an electric variant is set for release in summer 2023 - so keep an eye on our Newsroom for all future updates!
