What is a Motability MOT?

An MOT is a legal vehicle inspection that involves a series of tests to determine whether road safety and environmental standards are being met.

It is important that you arrange for an MOT to be carried out on your vehicle, before the end of the standard three-year Motability lease. The MOT must be carried out regardless of whether you intend to keep your vehicle on a lease extension or hand it back at the end of the lease agreement.

If you would like to wait whilst our technicians work on your vehicle, you can take a seat in our comfortable customer lounge and enjoy complimentary refreshments and Wi-Fi.

Motability Vehicle Health Checks

A Bristol Street Motors Vehicle Health Check will identify if your Motability car is performing at its best.

Whenever you bring your vehicle into one of our dealerships for a service or MOT, our technicians will also complete a full vehicle health check at the same time. This is an additional set of checks to assess the overall condition of key components such as brakes, wheels and tyres.

Following the health check, we will send you a video which outlines what has been covered, including any areas for your attention.

RAC Breakdown Cover

You will receive RAC breakdown cover for your Motability vehicle as part of your inclusive leasing package. This should provide you with peace of mind when you're out and about.

If your Motability vehicle breaks down, don't panic. Call the RAC team on 0800 73 111 73 - lines are open 24/7 and the team will aim to get a technician out to you within 45 minutes.

You will need to provide some details over the phone such as your name, vehicle registration, location, and nature of your breakdown to allow the team to assist you as efficiently as possible.
