Bristol Street Motors Partnerships - Get To Know Our Partners

In this article, we introduce you to some exciting events and organisations we are proud to support, some of which you may find familiar.

At Bristol Street Motors, partnerships are a great way for us to raise awareness of our brand locally, while supporting things that matter to our customers.

Our main partners are currently BTCC EXCELR8 Motorsport , Co-op Live , and Newcastle Theatre Royal

Read on for an overview of each partnership, and what they are up to.

BTCC EXCELR8 Motorsport

EXCELR8 Motorsport is a team competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), founded by Justina Williams. Leading the team at this year’s season are four talented drivers: Tom Ingram, Tom Chilton, Nick Halstead, and Ronan Pearson.

Ingram returns to the tracks on a high, having won the championship last year. He made his BTCC debut back in 2014 and has competed in over 200 races with 62 podium finishes.

Chilton has been racing in the BTCC since 2022, joining when he was just 17 years old. He brings a wealth of experience to the team, with over 400 BTCC races completed, 59 podium finishes, and 14 wins.

Meanwhile, Halstead and Pearson are new to the team - and to the BTCC. Halstead previously raced with the team in a one-off in the 2021 series at Croft. He won the AM category in the Ginetta G5 Challenge in his second season.

Scottish driver Pearson is the youngest of the team, at just 21 years old. He recently graduated from the EXCELR8 Young Drivers’ Development Programme and joined the team. This will be his first touring car season, representing our Scottish sister brand Macklin Motors.

We are delighted to support the team both on and off track. Bristol Street Motors promotes the team at various shows and events and provides cars for the team to get around.

The team competes in a fleet of Hyundai i30 N Fastbacks , with an eye-catching livery design. Learn more about the team, car, and the wider championship on our partnership page.

Co-op Live Arena

Co-op Live Arena

Co-op Live is an exciting new initiative from Oak View Group (OVG) and City Football Group, set to open in Manchester in December 2023. It’s an all-new, electrically powered arena, hoping to lead the way in sustainable hospitality and entertainment.

Set to be the biggest arena in the UK, it will host up to 23,500 visitors, for a variety of events including music, sports and more.

The arena is currently in construction on the Etihad Campus and will be easily accessible via public transport or a short walk from the city centre.

It promises an experience like no other with a unique ‘bowl’ design delivering immersive acoustics, allowing guests to feel closer than ever to the artists.

Sustainable features include a biodiversity ring around the arena with various trees and plants in place, and a rainwater harvesting system which will help to flush the arena’s toilets.

The 32 bars and restaurants will also offer a variety of locally produced food and drink, with a zero-waste, zero-plastic policy.

As a founding partner of the arena, we were given the honour of naming the atrium which we called ‘The Street’. This will act as the beating heart of the arena, welcoming up to 4,000 guests to gather before and after shows, with some of our fantastic cars on display.

Though the night doesn’t have to end there. With various clubs, music rooms, and lounges located across different floors, the arena promises a night to remember for all guests.

Newcastle Theatre Royal

Newcastle Theatre Royal

We all love a trip to the theatre, which is why we partner with one of the North East’s most famous and historic venues - Newcastle Theatre Royal.

Built in 1788, the theatre is steeped in history and has welcomed many famous faces over the years. It remains one of only nine Grade 1 listed theatres in the entire country, making it a fixture of entertainment in the region.

Situated in Newcastle City Centre, the theatre welcomes thousands of spectators from the city and beyond to watch some of the world’s best-loved performances in fantastic surroundings.

As a partner of the theatre, we have access to the forecourt where we can display some of our amazing vehicles for people in the city to explore. Using these, we help to promote some of the theatre’s newest, upcoming shows.

Partnering with an institution like Newcastle Theatre Royal also helps us to keep in touch with some of our many customers in the area where we have several dealerships. These include Bristol Street Motors Hyundai Silverlink , Bristol Street Motors Honda Newcastle , and Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall Newcastle
