Mazda announces the expansion of its Venture Edition family

Japanese car giant Mazda has revealed that its Mazda 2 and MX-5 vehicles will be the latest models to receive the Venture Edition treatment.

As such, drivers can get their hands on a special-edition model of the Mazda 2 and three unique versions of the Mazda MX-5.

When it comes to the enhanced Mazda 2, Peter Allibon, the sales director of the Japanese brand's UK arm, said: "The availability of the enhanced Mazda 2 Venture Edition, with its unique combination of advanced technology, sports styling, a premium interior and even greater added value, will attract new customers to our showrooms.

"In its latest form, Mazda 2 combines superior ride comfort, superb handling and quality with the spirited and fun-to-drive attributes for which Mazda is renowned."

When it comes to this model's standard specification list, the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that the vehicle will be fitted with a CD radio with an auxiliary jack and four speakers, integrated Bluetooth accessibility and a TomTom navigation system viewed through a stunning 5.8-inch touchscreen.

Outside the Mazda 2 Venture Edition, motorists can also admire a set of 16-inch Bright Finish alloy wheels, dusk-sensing lights and a rear bumper sports trim.

Moving on to the Venture Edition models of the Mazda MX-5, drivers will be able to choose between a 1.8-litre soft-top option, a 1.8-litre Roadster Coupe and a more aggressive 2.0-litre Roadster Coupe.

All three vehicles come complete with comfortable heated tan leather sports seats, luxurious tan leather door inserts and a striking tan fabric roof.

Mr Allibon acknowledged: "Fun-to-drive characteristics are at the very heart of our legendary and immensely popular Mazda MX-5 sportscar.

"That popularity will be enhanced by the three new Venture Edition vehicles which are based on the 2013 upgraded MX-5 and come with additional features to make them even more distinctive as 'stand-out' sportscars which can be used everyday of the year."

The Venture Edition models of the Mazda 2 and MX-5 are available across the UK right now.
