The new Ford Fiesta Van is set to be a perfect vehicle for both small and large businesses, thanks to its performance, eye-catching design and brilliant fuel economy.

In regards to this final point, the American vehicle giant has already stated that the next-generation model of the Fiesta Van is capable of delivering 76.4mpg and sub-100g/km of CO2 emissions no matter the diesel engine chosen.

However, opt for the new Ford Fiesta ECOnetic Van instead and drivers will have the chance to get behind the wheel of a vehicle that can achieve best-in-class 87g/km of CO2 emissions and boast a magnificent 85.6mpg – a figure that is much higher than any rival van.

It is not just fuel economy where the new Ford Fiesta Van should catch the eye of businesses though, as the vehicle's loading capabilities also have to be applauded.

The van comes complete with practical 1.0 cubic metre load space, while the compartment also builds in a secure steel bulkhead and four cargo tie-down hooks to make it easy to carry heavy items into and out of the vehicle.

On top of this, the fact that Ford has designed the interior of the van with a tough rubber floor mat and durable sidewall trim assures that loads are kept safe and secure when transported from A to B.

Mark Easton, the light commercial vehicle product manager at Ford Britain, acknowledged: "The new Fiesta Van is a stylish mobile workshop for light duty tools and equipment that makes great business sense.

"Both local tradesmen and urban delivery fleets will appreciate its sharp, professional looks, while relying on its versatility, dependability and exceptionally low running costs."

The new Ford Fiesta Van is sure to catch the eye when out on the road as well, thanks to its exterior being designed with laser-cut headlamps, incorporating LED technology, a power-dome bonnet and the option to be fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels.

Drivers can get their hands on the next-generation Ford Fiesta Van from January 2013.
