Ford has announced the addition of an exclusive model to the Ranger line-up – The Ranger MS-RT.
Evident from the name, the new Ranger model is the outcome of a collaboration between Ford and MS-RT, who are specialists in vehicle design. The Ranger MS-RT combines Wildtrak technology and capabilities with street style aesthetics, to give the award-winning pick-up a new, motorsport-inspired look.
Brendan Lyne, Director of Commercial Vehicles, Ford of Europe, said: “Ranger MS-RT is designed for customers who value Ranger’s hard-working capability but want the racing pedigree and hand-finished exclusivity of our MS-RT series. This eye-catching vehicle blends Ford’s decades of success in pick-up trucks with striking motorsport-inspired design to offer a road-focused truck combining immense kerb appeal with the hard-working ability that our customers love.”
The exterior design features a honeycomb grille and built-in fog lights, whilst the side profile showcases a sporty style, with 20-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels making this a monster pick-up! Customers will have a choice of colour options to choose from, including Sea Grey and Frozen White, all of which give the Ranger MS-RT a premium finish to complement the MS-RT emblem.
On the inside, the Ranger MS-RT has been kitted out with a premium leather trim and bold, orange stitching for a quality finish, enhancing comfort and style. The seats are heated and the ambient light settings let drivers set the mood for their journey. The floor mats and skid plates are embellished with the sporty MS-RT detailing for a bespoke touch, while the Ford SYNC 3 system keeps drivers and passengers connected and entertained on-the-go.
It will be equipped with one of Ford’s most fuel-efficient engines – the Bi-turbo 213PS 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine – to optimise performance and power, and drivers can enjoy the 10‑speed automatic transmission found in the iconic Mustang car.
With a towing capacity of 3,500kg and a payload of up to 1,098kg, the Ford Ranger MS-RT is capable of tackling the hardest of jobs to make every working day easier.
