Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford and Redditch Mazda are celebrating after a colleague was recognised as Vertu Motors’ ‘Workshop Controller of the Year.’

Tim Cresswell was chosen from hundreds of managers across the Bristol Street Motors, Farnell Jaguar Land Rover, Vertu Honda and Vertu Toyota franchises that Vertu Motors plc operates in the UK, for his award. He was presented with the accolade at the Group’s annual CEO Awards dinner, which was hosted by Vertu Motors plc chief executive, Robert Forrester.

Robert said, “Tim is a deserving winner of this award. It takes an extremely talented and organised person to run any workshop of the scale displayed at the Redditch site. It is a sizeable challenge for one individual and would normally be covered by two controllers, so it is testament to Tim’s raw talent, ability and capacity that he handles this entire operation solo.

“He runs this huge service operation with great efficiency and is the foundation that allows the department to be hugely successful and contribute massively to the dealership’s performance. A hugely complex job delivered by a very capable and talented person.”

Tim said: “I am extremely proud to have been acknowledged as Vertu Motors’ ‘Workshop Controller of the Year’. I thoroughly enjoy my job and that is largely down to the amazing team of people behind me at Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford and Redditch Mazda, so although it has my name on this award, it has very much been a team effort.”
