'Buyers of new Citroens to benefit from greener engines'

Citroen's C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso may become more desirable to vehicle buyers now their engines have been made cleaner.
Britons looking for new Citroens could be drawn to the models, which have been modified to produce less carbon dioxide.
Models fitted with the 1.6HDi 110hp DPFS powerplant with manual and auto transmission now benefit from reduced CO2 emissions of five grams per kilometre, while fuel economy is boosted by almost four per cent.
Meanwhile, cars equipped with the 2.0HDi 138hp DPFS unit with auto EGS transmission achieve a 1.7 per cent improvement in fuel economy and a two gram reduction in emissions.
Citroen commented: "Already recognised as a green leader in its segment, Citroen's diesel powered Grand C4 Picasso was named Green MPV of the Year at last year's inaugural What Car? Green Awards."
Earlier this year, the firm's C3 Picasso also scooped an award, taking the Best Family Car of 2009 title from the Daily Express' Motoring team.
