CarFest South this weekend
If you're in the south of England and looking for some fast-car-fun this weekend, CarFest South could be the place for you and the family.
CarFest South takes place over the 23-25 August at Laverstoke Park Farm, near Basingstoke in Hampshire, and promises much of what car-fans will love to see. Hosted by radio DJ and car-nut, Chris Evans, the CarFest shows are all about enjoying cars, music and food, with at least 25 per cent of the ticket price going to the DJ's favourite charity, Children in Need.
The plan is that by the end of CarFest South, with the takings from CarFest North, that there will be an extra £1m in the Children in Need coffers.
Chris Evans will be showing off seven rare Ferraris from his own personal collection, while the priceless Mercedes Benz W196R racer, driven by racing legend Juan Manual Fangio to victory in the 1955 Belgian Grand Prix, will be on show at the IWC Drivers’ Lounge.
Providing the live music will be Texas, Keane, Ocean Colour Scene, Alfie Boe, Reef, Jools Holland, Amy Macdonald and Scouting for Girls. Mix in some tasty grub and you've got a great way to get your fix of all the good things in life!
