Chevrolet to unveil new Cruze Station Wagon at Geneva

Chevrolet is getting itself ready to officially unveil a brand new car to its line-up, the Cruze Station Wagon.

The big reveal will take place at the Geneva Motor Show this month, although one image of the model has been published.

It is based on the Chevrolet Cruze and will add as another option to the saloon and hatchback versions. Features include plenty of storage space, from 500 litres up to almost 1,500 litres with the rear seats down.

The manufacturer announced that it will be available with a range of engines, but a new 130bhp 1.7-litre VCDi diesel engine will be offered specifically for the Station Wagon. Start-stop technology will come as standard and carbon emissions are just 119 g/km.

"The Cruze Station Wagon caters to an important market segment," explained Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe.

"It ticks all the boxes for European drivers in terms of distinctive design, dynamic driving, space and economy."

Visitors at Geneva will also witness Chevrolet's unveiling of two concept cars, the TRU 140S and CODE 130R sports cars, which were based on ideas put forward by young drivers and teenagers.
