Citroen launches new, more efficient Nemo

Nemo 660 LX combines efficiency of manual gearbox with convenience of two-pedal system.

Citroen has expanded it light commercial vehicle (LCV) range with a new Nemo van.

The newest addition to the Euro 5 range is the Citroen Nemo HDi 75 EGS Stop & Start 660 LX, which is even more environmentally friendly and economical than its predecessors.

It boasts the manufacturer's electronic gearbox system, which provides the fuel efficiency of a manual van with the convenience of an automatic two-pedal driver configuration.

The vehicle emits just 109g/km, a 3.5 per cent improvement on previous models in the range, while it can also achieve 68.9mpg on the combined fuel cycle.

Scott Michael, Citroen commercial vehicle operations manager, said that the new van "enables hard-pressed businesses to provide their drivers with the comfort and convenience of two-pedal driving, while gaining from additional fuel efficiency and emissions benefits".

He added that the Citroen Nemo 660 LX is only marginally more expensive than its manual counterparts.
