The Commercial Vehicle Show 2011 will play host to the UK debut of the new Ford Ranger.

Set to take place at the NEC in Birmingham in April, the industry exhibition will give motorists the chance to see the powerful new model in the flesh.

Ford is placing particular importance on smart technology additions such as adaptive load control, trailer sway control and voice control, as well as the segment's first rear-view camera system.

Steve Clary, commercial vehicles director at Ford of Britain, said the company is "delighted" to be unveiling the new Ranger.

"The show presents a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with many important customers. We will be exhibiting a comprehensive range of our existing vehicles and some of our exciting future models," Mr Clary noted.

Other vehicles set to appear at the event include the Transit Connect Electric and the Transit Stage V, which includes an enhanced diesel particulate filter which collects over 95 per cent of all engine soot emissions.

The Commercial Vehicle Show 2011 takes place between April 12th and 14th. Ford will be exhibiting at stand 4C20 in hall four.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800408132-ADNFCR
