Fiat 500 joins J-Lo on stage

The creative partnership between the Fiat 500 and pop star Jennifer Lopez has been strengthened following a recent performance in Los Angeles.

J-Lo was recently unveiled as the new face of the Fiat 500, agreeing to front an advertising campaign for the hugely-popular Italian city car.

And while a TV ad featuring both was expected by many, and duly delivered, the Fiat 500 made a cheeky onstage appearance at a recent awards show.

The supermini joined Lopez on stage as she performed her single Papi at the American Music Awards in LA.

It follows the car's appearance in the video for the single and the star's attachment to the limited edition Gucci version of the 500.

Olivier Francois, chief executive of the Fiat brand, said: "The Fiat brand is honoured to share the stage with Jennifer Lopez at the 2011 American Music Awards.

"Her drive and determination is the common thread that is shared with the brand and our philosophy of Life is Best When Driven."
