Fiat wins award for 'Power of X' campaign

Fiat has won the prestigious Auto Trader Click Award for their innovative 'Power of X' digital marketing campaign.

The Italian motor giant released the campaign to promote its new Fiat 500X, the mini crossover SUV that was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014, and launched in the UK on April 24 this year.

The digital campaign was developed by Microsoft, in partnership with the world famous magician Dynamo, and global media agencies Maxus, Krow Communications and Doner.

It was published on Microsoft's online sites where audiences were invited to sign-up and receive new information and content on the product.

Marc Gerstein, head of digital UK, commented: "The Digital Team created a unique approach to reach shoppers on multiple platforms that delivered results. Working with Microsoft we were able to reach people on Xbox, Skype, MSN, Outlook.com and Windows 8, culminating in an immersive, interactive illusion from the magician in advance of the UK launch of the Fiat 500X in April."

He added: "The UK digital team is delighted to have been presented with this significant award. It really is an endorsement of the work our group is taking throughout the business to meet the needs of our customers."

The Auto Trader Click Awards event was launched in 2008 and has grown to become one of the cornerstones of the digital retailing calendar. Prizes are awarded by an independent panel of judges based on the close scrutiny of objective research. In awarding Fiat, judges deemed the 'Power of X' campaign to be 'well conceived and skillfully executed'.
