The Fiat 500 is continually being recognised by the commercial market as it has been in the domestic sector.

Fiat's updated supermini has won a string of plaudits since it was re-introduced to the Italian firm's line-up and is still being highlighted as a leader in the business community.

Indeed, the popular 500 has cemented its position as a superior choice for businesses by taking the City Car honours in the 2012 BusinessCar Awards.

It is the fourth consecutive year the Fiat 500 has taken the prize, showing that the first win was no fluke and the model has staying power.

Furthermore, the win was not for just one model, with the judging panel bestowing the honour on the whole range.

Paul Barker, editor of BusinessCar, commented: "Fiat's 500 has again proved to be a business car market favourite and Fiat's advancement with its TwinAir technology has enhanced the excellent city car’s appeal to the sector.

"The readers of BusinessCar are obviously fans of the 500’s combination of fun and frugality, having picked it as their favourite city car for the fourth year in a row."

Last year Fiat teamed up with Jennifer Lopez to boost the profile of the Fiat 500, a move which saw the star appear in a string of adverts and the car join J-Lo on stage in the US.
