Hyundai Bristol is inviting the public to visit its newly refurbished Hyundai Bristol dealership, following an investment of £330,000.

The dealership, which is one of the largest Hyundai sites in Europe, has received an extensive refurbishment to improve its customer areas and boost its green credentials.

The renovation works include the installation of charging points, which will allow visitors to refuel their electric and hybrid vehicles when visiting the site. Additionally, the installation of upgraded furniture and new, more energy efficient lighting and air conditioning adds to the new look and feel of the dealership.

The dealership would like to welcome members of the public to visit the dealership and see all it has to offer at a special two-day-long opening event from September 15. The dealership is extending its opening hours until 10pm over the event so that customers can visit to see the dealership and enjoy casino-style games alongside refreshments.

There will also be a Family Test Track where children will be able to race each other on a remote control vehicle track, with the winner taking home the equipment. They will also be able to enjoy a tech area, which showcases Hyundai’s latest in-car technology, including innovative Apple Play equipment.

To oversee the newly-improved dealership, Bristol Street Motors has promoted Terry Thurgood from sales manager to branch manager in recognition of his continued outstanding performance. He will now be responsible for the running of the site and managing its team.

Terry Thurgood, branch manager at Hyundai Bristol, said: “I am really excited to be taking the next step in my career with Bristol Street Motors at such an important time for the dealership.

“The business has put a lot of resources into enhancing the site for both colleagues and customers. It’s definitely money well spent because it looks fantastic and the improvements really allow us to demonstrate the full range and capability that Hyundai has to offer. Everyone can come and see for themselves at our opening event.

“Bristol is known as one of the most ecologically-conscious cities in the UK and was a European Green Capital in 2015, so naturally a lot of our customers are interested in more economical and environmentally friendly models.

“The installation of electric vehicle charging points and the green credentials of the refurbishment will allow us to support the city’s ethos.”
