Online used car shopping 'growing in popularity'

The number of Britons investing in used vehicles over the internet is on the rise, findings have shown.
According to used car retailer Autoquake.com, the last three years have seen online buyers rise in number by 14 per cent.
"This research shows that internet car buying has truly come of age," said Autoquake.com's chief executive officer Dermot Halpin.
He went on to say that traditional methods of buying cars are becoming less popular as the internet takes over.
The firm cited other recent findings as also indicating the trend towards online car shopping, with Which Car? showing that 18 per cent of its readers felt they were likely to buy a car over the internet in the future.
Meanwhile, online retailer Carsite.co.uk reported last month that internet sales of used MPVs were on the rise as families looked to take advantage of online savings over high street prices.
