You’ll find it at Exploration Drive, Leicester LE4 5NS, and its distinctive Rocket Tower above the entrance will signal your arrival.

The National Space Centre is suitable for everyone with disabled parking, step-free access and spacious interior. There are also large-print and Braille guides, ear defenders, and magnifying glasses available. Simply, ask a member of staff if you require assistance.

There’s also a cafe called Boosters near the entrance, serving a wide selection of food and drinks to keep you going during your visit. Concession tickets are available for those with disabilities and can be pre-booked. Children can enter for free.

2. Brixworth Country Park, Northamptonshire

Looking to get out in the great outdoors? Brixworth Country Park, set in the rural countryside, will make the perfect visit. Enjoy the fresh country air around the various routes available and take in the stunning views of the meadow and reservoir.

Three short circular routes - Kestrel, Lapwing, and Skylark, give you an all-around view of the park. With hard-surfaced paths and no steep gradients, the routes are easily accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Children can play in two different play areas, complete with play equipment, carved wooden sculptures, sand play, and more. There’s also plenty of open space for them to run around and use up some of that energy!

Disabled parking is situated near Rutland Cycling. There is also an accessible toilet and a tramper and mobility scooter available to hire. The first two hours costs £5, followed by £2.50 each hour after.

The Willow Tree cafe serves a variety of tasty lunch and snack options. There is moveable seating inside or fixed patio benches if you’d prefer to sit outside and soak up some sunshine. You’re sure to love the view of the lake.

Head to Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG to visit the park.

3. Chatsworth House, Derbyshire

Located in the Peak District, Chatsworth House is an extravagant stately home dating back to the sixteenth century. It was owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and has seen various expansions and facelifts over its time. It famously houses the famous four-poster bed where George II died and hosts a collection of historic paintings.

Visitors may also be interested in the grotto, artificial waterfall, and nursery. You can also visit the greenhouses or farmyard for some fun animal handling sessions. Children are guaranteed to enjoy the playground complete with water and sand pits, as well as a climbing forest and slides.

You’ll find plenty of benches and accessible toilets during your visit. The varying path surfaces also makes moving around with wheelchairs and pushchairs easy.
