Drivers in the market for a used car could be tempted to opt for the famed Blue Oval after Ford picked up a trio of industry awards.

The firm's Fiesta, Mondeo and S-MAX models were singled out for praise at the recent What Car? Used Car of the Year Awards.

In the small car category, the magazine said potential buyers need look no further than the Ford Fiesta, showing that the model is the UK's top-selling car for good reason.

In particular, drivers were told to look out for the three-year-old, five-door, 1.25-litre Ford Fiesta Style+, which was praised for "outstanding value" given that it offers and MP3 stereo, air conditioning, remote central locking and electric windows.

"As well as being well priced, the Ford Fiesta has low running costs. The Fiesta is genuinely entertaining to drive, quiet and smooth, well specified and roomy, which," the magazine said.

The Ford Mondeo was named Best Used Family Car by the publication, while the S-MAX picked up the prize for Best Used MPV.

The Ford Fiesta, Mondeo and S-MAX are winning over customers from the showroom to the forecourt through an unrivalled combination of quality and value."
