Vauxhall Carlisle appoints new general manager

Vauxhall Carlisle has appointed motor retail professional Will Morgan as the new head of business as it looks to recruit even more local talent.

Will has joined the Kingstown Industrial Estate dealership from Carlisle Volkswagen, where he spent three years as Brand Manager and led the team to win several awards, including most improved Volkswagen Dealership of the Year Award.

Will started in the motor retail industry as a sales executive in 1995 at the Telford Motor Group in Carlisle, later progressing to managerial roles within dealerships, before becoming group general manager, overseeing three different sites and six manufacturers. He then took a break from the car industry to take a position as the managing director of Liquid Design Studios Ltd, which provided fully-integrated advertising solutions for businesses from its base in Carlisle.

Now, in his new position, Will, who is from Carlisle and still lives in the town with his wife and two sons, is keen to find more local talent for managerial positions in the dealership’s workshop and showroom. He also wants to give back to local people and engage with community causes, charities and grassroots sport.

Will said: “I’m very excited to be taking the position as head of business at Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall Carlisle. I’m from Carlisle and have spent most of my working life here, so I know that we have many talented people in the area.

“I am very keen to identify talented individuals who I can help nurture from entry level positions to management roles. I am also on the lookout for people with experience in the motor retail industry who will play an important part in the future development of the dealership.”
