Vauxhall will provide 150 British built Vivaro vans to domestic appliance giant Hoover Candy, building on the 36 they supplied last year.

The L1H1 vans boast a 1.6 120PS BiTurbo engine that will provide Hoover Candy's drivers with range-topping fuel consumption and improved CO2 figures. They will be delivered between now and 2017, and when the delivery process is complete, Hoover Candy will have a fleet consisting on purely Vauxhalls.

The vans will be modified prior to delivery, with rear parking sensors, bespoke internal racks and Hoover Candy livery fitted on each. Engineers will then use them to carry out essential maintenance work and appliance services.

Vehicle reliability and running costs were of key concern when choosing the vans, fleet operations manager at Hoover Candy Neil Parsons, commented: "Since adding the initial 36 Vivaros to our fleet last year, we have been able to see how well they perform in real-world conditions for our operations. Not only have the vehicles really impressed us, but so have the high levels of service provided by the Vauxhall team."
