Vertu Motors honour managers at award ceremony

Vertu Motors PLC, the UK’s fifth largest motor retailer, (Motor Trader Top 200, December 2015) has recognised its talented managers from across the UK at the annual CEO Awards.

The CEO Awards is an important opportunity for Vertu Motors’ CEO, Robert Forrester, to highlight the success of managers from across the Group, which includes Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors, Farnell Land Rover, Vertu Volkswagen and Vertu Honda.

Each entrant is nominated by colleagues working within the Group. Although most nominations come from the managers’ divisional teams, this year a number of the award winners were nominated by team members from other divisions, demonstrating the impact that these individuals have across the Group in implementing Vertu’s ‘working together’ ethos.

The winners at this year’s ceremony were:
Company Person of the Year - Steve Gould, Regional Director, Renault and Nissan Division
Accountant of the Year - Melissa Brown, Doncaster, Retford and Mansfield Honda
Sales Manager of the Year - Phil Reuben, Shirley Ford
Business Manager of the Year - Robert Clifton, Used Cars Derby
Service Manager of the Year - Richard Slater, Banbury Peugeot
Parts Manager of the Year - Steve Lee, Knaresborough Vauxhall
Bodyshop Manager of the Year - Paul Bonner, Gloucester Ford
Central Support Services Person of the Year - John Bowman, IT Department, Gateshead
General Manager of the Year - Adrian Skow, Exeter Hyundai and Renault

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors PLC said: “One of our core values as a business is to recognise and celebrate excellent performance and our annual management awards are a chance to do just that.

“Every year that we hold the awards it becomes harder and harder to decide on a winner, everyone who is nominated has performed exceptionally well over the year and is at the very top of their game.

“The award ceremony is a celebration of the success, passion and commitment that our managers put in and it’s a pleasure to be part of that.

“It gives me great sense of pride to know we have so many amazing individuals on board and fills me with great confidence as we continue to build the business in 2016.”
