A very special 1967 Ford Mustang convertible is to go under the hammer at Classic Car Auction's upcoming auction.

The beautiful model boasts an impressive heritage, having been owned by legendary British actor and Game of Thrones star Charles Dance, and used as his daily driver before it underwent a full restoration.

The restoration included new floor pans, new rear wings, a fully rebuilt 289 V8 engine and a complete new braking system. The car then received a full bare metal re-spray, matched to its re-trimmed red leather interior and cream hood. Since the restoration, the Mustang has only been driven on the road for its MOT.

It will go for sale at the 5th December auction at The Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, where it is expected to fetch between £25,000 and £30,000.

General manager at CCA, Guy Lees-Milne commented: "We're privileged to be able to offer this car and sell it on behalf of Charles. This is a beautiful example of the iconic Ford Mustang, and combined with its celebrity connections we expect a lot of interest.

"This is the ideal car not just for Mustang fans but for Game of Thrones obsessives around the world. Just imagine driving the car once owned by Tywin Lannister!"
