A Closer Look at the DS 3
An updated DS 3 has been unveiled. Sporting refreshed styling, latest-generation technology, and a new electric variant - it’s certainly one to watch.

Exterior Styling
The new DS has a unique shape, with an updated front end that evokes a sense of dynamism.
The redesigned grille is wider than previous versions and comes with the option of gloss black or chrome diamond tips. The iconic DS WINGS have been tweaked to join up with the grille and headlights.
New LED headlamps give the front end a sharper look – and allow for enhanced vision on the roads.
A number of subtle yet striking details are bound to catch the eye - such as badging on the grille and bonnet, a Clous de Paris embossed insert, and a variety of exciting paint finishes. These are available with a flat, metallic, or pearlescent effect. Plus, there is the option of a bi-tone roof in Perla Nera Black or Carat Grey.
At the rear, the lights are emphasised with a lacquered black strip which features the ‘DS AUTOMOBILES’ signature in polished stainless-steel lettering.
Large alloy wheels have been aerodynamically engineered for optimal performance.
The distinctive DS 3 shark’s fin, flush door handles, and invisible exterior window seals all still feature on the new model.
Interior Feel
The interior of the new DS 3 is refined and luxurious. Materials have been selected for their quality and sustainability.
Attention to detail is everywhere inside the cockpit – the Nappa Leather upholstery with pearl stitching and Clous de Paris embossed inserts create a truly unique space.
A new, multi-functional steering wheel allows drivers to control many infotainment features without taking their attention from the road ahead. A large 10.3-inch central touchscreen comes as standard across the range with the new DS IRIS infotainment system built in.
The seats inside the DS 3 have been ergonomically designed, to provide optimal support. Occupants will experience class-leading comfort on all journeys.
Drivetrains
The DS 3 is available in petrol and electric drivetrains, allowing individuals to choose the option that best suits their lifestyle.
The latest all-electric DS 3 E-TENSE comes with a new electric motor, a reduction gear, and a new battery - for increased efficiency and range.
Using engineering know-how from Formula E it has excellent efficiency metrics. The 54kWh battery provides a range of up to 254 miles (WLTP), and with compatibility for rapid charging, a 10-80% boost is achievable in just 30 minutes.
The new DS will also be available with two petrol drivetrains - the PureTech 100 with 6-speed manual gearbox and PureTech 130 with 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Latest-Generation Technology
The new DS 3 will feature an innovative infotainment system accessible through a large central screen.
The DS IRIS SYSTEM provides built-in navigation, voice recognition, and a head up display. Driver and passengers can personalise the widgets on the central screen and the digital instrument panel. The whole set-up has been revised to improve ergonomics.
Fitted as standard, the new DS 3 includes numerous driver aids such as: Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Active Safety Brake, allowing for a more relaxed driving experience.
A Streamlined Range
