Caravan Club rewards Dacia Duster

Dacia has picked up more awards for its Duster model, after the Caravan Club noted its performance as a value-for-money Towcar.

In the Caravan Club Awards 2014, the Dacia Duster claimed the Judges' Special Award, due to the 4x4's high-speed stability and capabilities at stopping and starting on hills. Despite being one of the cheaper models in the running for an award, with a recommended retail price of around £13,695, the Duster was able to show-up a number of its pricier competitors.

Clive White, driving judge for Caravan Club, said: “The judges pretty much unanimously gave the not-so-dusty Duster their Special Award, for offering so much, for so little.“

The Duster has already won awards for Car of the Year, 4x4 of the Year and Scottish Car of the Year, while the Dacia Sandero has also scooped an accolade from What Car?, being named the Best Supermini under £12,000.

Marketing director for Renault Group UK Phil York said he was "over the moon" with the latest recognition for the Duster.

"Dacia’s unpretentious style, value and quality has won over thousands of British motorists since it landed on our shores only a few months ago. I’m sure that its appeal, now recognised officially by the Caravan Club, to the UK’s one million-strong caravanning and motorhome community will take us to even headier heights,” he added.
