Citroen Nemo named 'Best City Van'
Citroen has been riding high on a wave of popularity with its current line-up of cars and now the French firm can also boast an award-winning light commercial vehicle.
The Ds range - which includes the Citroen Ds3, Ds4 and Ds5 - has been grabbing the headlines of late, but it was the Citroen Nemo that bagged an industry accolade last week.
At the inaugural Trade Van Driver Awards, the French carmaker saw the Nemo crowned best City Van, with the judges praising the heavy cargo load, which comes despite the model's small footprint.
The panel also commented on the Citroen Nemo's "amazing fuel economy", which should see the model appeal to domestic and fleet customers alike.
Scott Michael, Citroen's commercial vehicle operations manager, welcomed the win, saying: "The Nemo's suitability for urban operation has been recognised with its success in winning the Best City Van accolade in the TVD Awards.
"The Nemo is perfect for a wide variety of business applications and is sufficiently versatile to provide fuel-efficient, low-cost business transport for all types of operations, be they in or out of town."
