Citroen unveils new Nemo van

A new, updated version of the popular Citroen Nemo van has been released by the manufacturer.

According to Citroen, the van now boasts better fuel economy and lower emissions due to its powerful Euro 5 diesel engine, which ensures the model remains the most economical in its class.

Power has been boosted from 70 to 75hp, while a self-regenerating diesel particulate filter system brings further environmental gains.

Citroen's stop and start technology is also present in the new Nemo, which puts the engine in standby mode when pressure is applied to the footbrake.

It is available in three trim levels - X, LX and Enterprise.

Robert Handyside, Citroen commercial vehicle operations manager, said: "The new Euro 5 Nemo uses advanced technology very effectively to provide significant operational, financial, environmental and safety benefits. It now carries more, while using less fuel."

In related news, Citroen was recently recognised for its range of commercial light vehicles at the What Van? 2011 Awards. ADNFCR-3205-ID-800356692-ADNFCR
