Citron C4 Cactus wins '2015 World Car Design of the Year' award

Citron's new C4 Cactus was crowned '2015 World Car Design of the Year' at the New York International Motor Show.

Every year, the judges of the international 'World Car of the Year' competition award this prize to the new car with the most innovative design that challenges the industry's conventional styling codes. This year, the C4 Cactus succeeded in winning the most votes, thanks to its striking and audacious styling.

The new C4 Cactus joins a list of illustrious prize-winners, which in recent years has included the BMW i3, the Jaguar F-Type, the Range Rover Evoque and the Aston Martin Rapide.

Linda Jackson, Citron's CEO, said: "This prestigious prize rewards all of the Citron brand's audacity and creativity. Citron C4 Cactus does not look like any other car, precisely because it is a Citron, and because Citron's design is different and unique.

"It forcefully represents the identity of our brand. This is what customers expect from Citron and this is why we have been so successful for more than 90 years. And there are more surprises to come!"

This major prize is the latest in a series of more than 30 international awards claimed by C4 Cactus since its launch. More than 60,000 orders for the C4 Cactus have already been placed in Europe.
