Good news for Dacia and new car buyers

Dacia Sandero depreciates the least of any UK new car

Dacia Sandero depreciates the least of any UK new car

The Dacia range of no nonsense cars and SUVs are indeed priced very competitively and clearly buyers are very interested to test drive them. And now, with the news that the Dacia models are least affected by new car depreciation will surely drive more traffic to the showrooms, boosting the some 4,000 cars sold already.

The value subsidiary brand from Renault already sells well in Europe and it now looks like customers in the UK are happy to pay less and only get what they need. However, with depreciation being quite a barrier to new car purchase for some people, this Dacia news will only surely serve as greater encouragement.

For example, leading residual value provider, CAP, has confirmed that over a three year period and 60,000 miles the Dacia Sandero Access 1.2 16V petrol will lose £3,615 of its retail price of £5,995. As a percentage of the car's original value, this figure is very reassuring indeed.

It was perhaps this depreciation element that had some potential Dacia buyers concerned, but with new statistics like this to back up a very low purchase price, it seems that the Dacia range will simply get more and more attractive.
