Ford to open Mustang order book during Champions League final
Ford has announced it will open the order books for the much-anticipated 2015 Mustang at the start of the Champions League final between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid on May 24th.
The first 500 new Mustang models for Europe will be made available to reserve from kick off, marking the first time the iconic Ford model will be available in right-hand drive.
Roelant de Waard, vice president of marketing sales and service at Ford of Europe, said: "The arrival of the new Ford Mustang in Europe is an event that deserves the biggest possible stage.
"We hope that making the first models available to order from the start of the final will ensure a reach which matches the significance."
The fastback models being made available to reserve will come in Race Red, while the convertibles will be painted Magnetic Silver. Those who reserve the model will have two engine choices available to them - the 2.3-litre EcoBoost or the 5.0-litre V8 engine.
Ford's SYNC 2 connectivity and navigation system will also be included in the first 500 models, alongside heated and ventilated seats, Park Assist, black leather trim, chrome detailing and 19-inch alloy wheels.
