Italian car firm Fiat has announced a further collaboration with fashion powerhouse Gucci.

Earlier this year the two companies joined forces to create a limited edition run of Fiat's re-imagined 500 model.

With demand for the motors exceeding expectation, the teams behind the restyled car have gone back into the studio in order to create a new cabriolet version.

Again, the Fiat 500 will be given a makeover by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini and will be available online and in selected dealerships from £17,800.

The new car will carry "all the exclusivity" of the Fiat 500byGucci and will also boast an innovative electrically-operated full length soft top.

It will be available in both black and white, while each version is given a glittery effect, while the roof comes in black with the distinctive green-red-green Gucci web pattern printed lengthwise.

"The exterior of the Fiat 500CbyGucci is embellished by 16” alloy wheels characterised by the unmistakable retro design of the spokes. The hub caps have a double G logo in matching body colour, and Gucci signatures in italics are displayed on the tailgate and door pillars," Fiat explained.

"Fiat 500CbyGucci will of course come complete with comprehensive standard equipment, including an automatic climate control system, seven airbags, rear parking sensors, CD-MP3 player and leather steering wheel."
