Hyundai expands i40 range to take premium to 'the next level'

Hyundai has added to its i40 range with a new model that takes the line-up to a whole new level of premium quality driving.

The Premium SE is a forward-thinking and luxurious addition to the family, available on both the i40 Tourer and Saloon.

As standard, it comes with a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, xenon headlights that are equipped with an adaptive system and a lane departure warning mechanism.

Although the car manufacturer's Smart Park Assist is no longer available on this range, it has now acquired an electric power tailgate.

This model, which comes with the choice of either a manual or an automatic gearbox, will be available with the 1.7-litre CRDi 136PS engine.

"The addition of the Premium SE trim to the line-up means customers now get even more comfort, luxury, convenience and safety features as standard, most of which are on-cost options with other rival mainstream D-segment cars," commented Tony Whitehorn, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor UK.
