Hyundai presents PassoCorto sports coupe in Milan

The latest concept design from Hyundai is now on show at the 2014 Milan Design Week, with the PassoCorto taking its spot at the IED Campus.

It is a particularly special model as the car was designed by IED students and then commissioned by Hyundai.

The car was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and is an ultra-lightweight sports car, specifically created to appeal to Generation Y drivers.

According to Allan Rushforth, senior vice president and COO at Hyundai Motor Europe, design is one of the main reasons that customers are so drawn to its creations.

"The PassoCorto concept is the result of an exciting cooperation, and we hope it will inspire the next generation of designers," he said.

The PassoCorto, Italian for 'short wheelbase', is a mid-engined machine. It comes as a two-seater with a length of 4100mm and a weight of 840kg.
