Ken Block bemoans lack of WRC action

Rally star Ken Block has bemoaned the lack of rally action he will see this year.

The Monster World Rally Team driver will get behind the wheel of the Ford Fiesta WRC only three more times this season - at next week's Rally Mexico and further events in New Zealand and Finland.

In an interview with Eurosport, Block explained that he is disappointed that he will not be more involved but said his busy schedule and a number of event clashes have made it impossible.

"I wish I was doing more WRC but there's just no more time. We've got a really busy programme at home this year, but I will be able to go to Finland which is one of my favourite events. Normally, Finland clashes with X Games, but this year X Games has been moved because of the Olympics," he told the news provider.

Block is as well known for his growing catalogue of online videos as his success behind the wheel on the rally circuit.

His videos see the American driver show off his power-slide skills in a number of settings including numerous film sets.
