Pontus Jansson has been voted the December PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month by football fans across the country.
In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Leeds defender won with 32% of the vote, beating Whites colleague Pablo Hernandez, who finished in second place with 28%.
In the second of four divisional votes carried out over seven days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was clear that the Swede’s strong performances last month – in which he scored a decisive goal at Aston Villa - has resonated not just with Leeds fans, but with supporters up and down the country.
The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:

- Pablo Hernandez (Leeds) – 28%
- Jarrod Bowen (Hull City) – 16%
- Teemu Pukki (Norwich) - 12%
- Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa) - 7%
- Marco Stiepermann (Norwich) - 5%
