London to host Chevrolet's 100th birthday bash

Legendary Detroit-based car manufacturer Chevrolet has announced details for a 100th birthday bash in north-west London later this year.

Ace Cafe is poised to host a one-off musical act on August 27th as the iconic brand celebrates 100 years in the industry.

During the last century, the firm has attached its name to a host of top models, including the Impala and the Camaro, while the present day line-up boasts a number of top cars such as the Cruze, the Orlando and the Matiz.

An as yet unnamed act will perform at the bash and an iconic car from the brand's illustrious history will also be present.

Mark Terry, Chevrolet UK's managing director, commented: "The Chevrolet night at the Ace promises to be tremendous fun. Not only is it the perfect forum in which to celebrate our 100 years, surrounded by American cars of all eras, but it's also a great venue that has become synonymous with enthusiasm for all things automotive.

"I can't reveal yet what the mystery car or band will be, but I will tell you that both are icons of American culture, and are a great way of marking our first century."
