New SEAT Leon CUPRA boasts powerful engine and refined driving performance

SEAT's flagship model, the Leon CUPRA has received a number of upgrades, which sees the sporty hatchback thoroughly refined.

The updated Leon CUPRA comes in three guises: Sport Coup, five-door and Sports Tourer, all of which have proven popular amongst the Spanish manufacturer's customers.

The responsive 2.0TSI engine has been boosted by 9.9BHP, taking its total output up to 286BHP. It boasts maximum performance with compelling efficiency, with the DSG transmission model delivering 42.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 149g, whilst the manual model delivers 42.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 156g.

CUPRA stands for power, performance and dynamics, and the Leon CUPRA certainly doesn't disappoint, with 0 62mph acceleration of just 5.8 seconds, and a top speed of 155mph achievable.

With the DCC, front-axle differential lock and progressive steering all fitted as standard, the new Leon CUPRA is significantly faster on track than the previous model. At the same time, it is more relaxed to drive, with a high level of comfort even on long motorway journeys. A CUPRA-specific, high-performance brake system ensures that the occupants remain safe and secure.

An exclusive array of equipment comes as standard in the CUPRA, including full-LED headlamps and LED rear lights. Ambient lighting in the cabin of the vehicle is provided by door mounted LEDs, which can be adapted via the CUPRA Drive
