Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is offering owners of the Nissan Leaf some free gifts for their loyalty to the innovative electric car.

Up until the end of March 2013, Nissan is allowing Leaf drivers to take home a free Chargemaster Home Charging Unit.

The system provides an affordable and safe way to charge electric vehicles in the comfort of a person's own home and is a third faster at charging cars than a standard mains supply socket.

Nissan's offer, which is up for grabs for Nissan Leaf owners based in the Source London, Source East, Midlands and Milton Keynes Plugged-in Places districts, also includes free installation courtesy of British Gas.

As if that was not enough, the Japanese car maker is also allowing its Leaf customers to gain free access to the POLAR public charging network for the next six months.

Steve McLennan, marketing director of Nissan Motor GB, commented: "We can now provide Nissan Leaf owners with a fast, convenient and safe way of charging their electric vehicle at home, as well as access to public charge points throughout the Source London, Source East, Plugged-in Midlands and Milton Keynes regions."
