Peugeot gives green light for RCZ R coupe release

The much anticipated RCZ R from Peugeot has now been given a release date and early pricing details.

Customers will be able to place their order for the 266bhp coupe during the middle of November and many will see the model delivered to their driveway on January 2nd.

The car will be available for purchase at a cost of around £32,500 for the basic spec model, which represents great value for the company's flagship coupe.

It proved a success after its official international debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, demonstrating all the capabilities of the 1.6-litre THP engine - which can hit a top speed of 133mph in the manual version. This is achievable while only emitting 149 grams of CO2 per kilometre.

The car has been designed to provide an excellent drive on both the circuit and the road, allowing owners to really put the pedal to the floor when taking it for a day on the track. To achieve this, the manufacturer has worked on handling, braking, power and traction in particular.
