Peugeot's all-new 308 a game-changer

Fun, punchy and expertly designed, Peugeot's new 308 is a welcome addition to the five-door hatchback market.

Sleeker, more tech-savvy and extremely powerful, this model has added something new to an already competitive segment.

The 308 dazzles in every respect - whether it is the streamlined and dynamic bodywork or the company's unique i-Cockpit, you can be confident you're in control of a superb vehicle.

No wonder then that it was named 2014's European Car of the Year. Responding to this news at the time, Tim Zimmerman, managing director of Peugeot UK, said that it was an "excellent and thoroughly deserved endorsement".

Amongst its rivals, the 308 is a lot lighter, while in comparison to its predecessor, it is lower and wider. This gives the car a lot more adaptability, making it an enjoyable ride.

This is further enhanced by the lower centre of gravity, a more compact steering wheel and improved electric power steering.

As such, the 308 is more responsive to movements than ever before – a testament to Peugeot's desire to ensure that the vehicle still feels new after three years of driving.
