Alex Bass has been voted the League One PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month by football fans across the country.
In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Pompey stopper won with 34% of the vote for February, with Oxford United’s Matty Taylor taking second place.
In the third of five divisional votes carried out over eleven days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was clear that the goalkeeper’s strong performances last month – keeping four clean sheets - has resonated not just with Portsmouth fans, but with supporters of all teams.
The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:
• Alex Bass (Portsmouth) - 34% • Matty Taylor (Oxford United) – 25% • Chris Maguire (Sunderland) – 16% • Rhys Healey (MK Dons) – 10% • Ivan Toney (Peterborough United) - 7% • Siriki Dembele (Peterborough United) – 7%
