Portsmouth's Ronan Curtis Wins Fan's Player of the Month Award

 

Ronan Curtis has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ League One Player of the month for the second month running.

In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Pompey midfielder won with a staggering 40% of the vote, beating Bristol Rovers’ Anssi Jaakkola, who finished in second place with 19%.

In the third of five divisional votes carried out over nine days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top-flight football clubs and press, it was evident that the Irishman’s stellar performances – in which he scored four goals, firing off 18 shots in the process - has resonated with football fans up and down the country.

The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:

� Ronan Curtis (Portsmouth) - 40% � Anssi Jaakkola (Bristol Rovers) – 19% � Michael Ihiekwe (Rotherham United) – 14% � Liam Boyce (Burton Albion) - 10% � Joe Pigott (AFC Wimbledon) - 10% � Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley) - 7%
