Renault has reinforced its reputation as a popular van manufacturer with a string of key industry awards.

The company reports that it is celebrating Christmas early, having bagged four accolades at the 2011 What Van? Awards.

Its flagship Renault New Master range, released in April, won Van of the Year and Large Panel Van of the Year, with judges calling it an "excellent addition" to the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market.

They recognised the "industry-leading levels of interior functionality and practicality" offered by the New Master model.

Renault itself was also praised by What Van? Magazine, receiving the Editor's Choice Award and the Technology Award for its upcoming zero-emissions Kangoo Van.

Darren Payne, Renault UK director of fleet and commercial vehicle operations, said the van is "arguably one of the best vans" currently available in the UK.

"We're delighted that our LCV product and service quality efforts have been acknowledged so wholeheartedly, particularly for New Master," Mr Payne added.

Renault recently launched its iCare pay-as-you-earn maintenance system, aimed at van fleet operators in the UK.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800281646-ADNFCR
