Renault debuts the new Scenic XMOD crossover

French vehicle giant Renault has given its popular Scenic car the crossover treatment, with the unveiling of the sporty yet elegant Scenic XMOD vehicle.

Motoring enthusiasts who clasp their eyes upon this spectacular new motor will quickly notice that it combines the outdoor cues of a typical crossover with the refined world of an MPV model.

Just looking around the exterior of the Renault Scenic XMOD, motorists can quickly make out specially designed alloy wheels, unique front and rear bumper designs, slick sill guards and elegantly-styled chrome-finish roof bars.

In order to emphasis to everyone that this is indeed a Renault though, the French manufacturer has slapped the front of the car with a bigger logo and then further highlighted it by setting it against a gloss black background grille.

The treats just keep coming once drivers step behind the wheel of the Renault Scenic XMOD crossover, where the first feature to catch their eye is sure to be the car's fixed centre console.

Made up of a Grip Xtend traction control system and a fully connected Renault R-Link seven-inch touchscreen multimedia feature, this is the place to go for drivers who are looking to expand their driving experience. What's more, these gadgets are both shown off through a stunning, customisable TFT (Thin Film Transistor) digital display.

Add to this the fact that Renault has styled its Scenic XMOD's interior with new stitched upholstery and a leather/alcantara pack, as well as offering an incredible 555 litres worth of boot space, and motorists are assured a stunning cabin that is unlike any other currently on the market.

When it comes to the Renault Scenic XMOD crossover getting from A to B, the vehicle is packed with the latest Renault ENERGY engines.

Such motors present drivers with significantly reduced fuel consumption, CO2 emission and running cost figures than the standard Scenic, without compromising on driver comfort or general reliability.

The Renault Scenic XMOD crossover receives its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show on March 5th.
