Vauxhall Adam a city car perfect for any driver

Vauxhall Adam a city car perfect for any driver

The Vauxhall Adam city car is unlike any other vehicle on the market today, with a design that instantly catches the eye and featuring a unique choice of trims.

Officially unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the customisable three-door car is set to give the British manufacturer a worthy rival to the very popular Citroen DS3.

Upon its world premiere, the motoring scene has been alive with chatter regarding the Vauxhall Adam. Top Gear say that "on first impressions we rather like it", while those at Auto Express were taken back by the car's "class-leading in-car tech".

There is so much to love about the vehicle, with its deliberate chunky exterior design enabling the car to display a modern, chic and funky look.

A double-stitching seat design and soft, patterned dashboard also gives the interior of the Vauxhall Adam a brilliant sense of luxury.

However, the aspect that enables the vehicle to stand head and shoulders above its city car rivals is its three choices of trim levels – the Adam Jam, the Adam Glam and the Adam Slam.

Let's have a look at each trim in a little more detail.

Make driving fun again with the Adam Jam

Glimpse across the Adam Jam and drivers will quickly realise that Vauxhall has chosen a design that is slick and incredibly striking.

For starters, the interior of the car is designed in either a black and white combination, which work in perfect tandem, or a complete black cabin. Finishing off this look is a few features being toned in the same hue as the car's exterior colour.

Speaking of the exterior design, this is where the fun really begins. As well as 12 standard body colours that range from a sophisticated navy blue to a funky lime green, drivers also have the option of three roof packs – I'll be Black, White my Fire and Men in Brown.

In total then, we are speaking of 27 different colour combinations to pick and choose from. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Show your classy side with the Adam Glam

The Adam Glam separates itself from the other two trim levels of this brand-new Vauxhall product by bringing a raft of classy touches to the attention of drivers.

Such an idea is accentuated by the fact that the exterior of the Adam Glam is designed with stylish chrome accents and a panoramic roof. LED daytime running lights just add the cherry to the cake where the outside of the vehicle is concerned.

Head inside the car and the glamorous features continue to shine at every angle. The seats and surfaces are toned in either cocoa, purple or black hues, while matching chrome sill plates, window frames and door-handle inserts are a joy to behold.

The Adam Glam is the choice for people hoping to make a statement with their next car.

Own the road with the Adam Slam

If the Adam Jam is the fun younger brother and the Adam Glam is the glamorous older sister, then the Adam Slam is the take-no-prisoners, rebellious sibling of the bunch.

Vauxhall has gone as far as to advertise the Adam Slam as being "born to be wild", with this being highlighted by the urban car's exceptional raw power and pure energy.

A sporty chassis also gives off the impression that this trim can hold its own against the supercars of the modern era, while its 17-inch alloy wheels present standout agility.

This muscular design carries across into the Adam Slam's interior too, as drivers are treated to a racy-styled steering wheel and invited to get comfortable in seats that would not go amiss in a rally car.

Do you reckon you can handle the vigorous attitude of the Adam Slam?
