Vauxhall Mokka Electric to Receive Exciting Upgrade
Vauxhall is introducing a new 54kWh battery and a more powerful motor to its popular Mokka Electric in 2023. This is set to improve range, efficiency, and performance.
The current Mokka Electric comes with a 50kWh battery unit. With the battery upgrade, the vehicle’s range will increase by 20% to offer an impressive range of 252 miles (WLTP).
The new 54kWh battery will also bring greater efficiency, requiring just 15.2kWh of electricity to power the car for 62 miles. This, coupled with an enhanced electric motor will enable the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62mph in under 10 seconds.
Supporting rapid charging of up to 100kW, the new Mokka Electric’s battery can be boosted from 0-80% in just 30 minutes, allowing motorists the opportunity to conveniently charge whilst on the move.
The electric enhancements set for the new Mokka Electric will come at no cost to the vehicle’s passenger and luggage space, thanks to innovative design and packaging of the battery.
The top speed of new Mokka Electric will be limited to 93mph for safety purposes.
Vauxhall has committed to being an electric only brand by 2028. With increased investment in technology, the manufacturer is making the switch to electric as seamless as possible for motorists. The new and improved Mokka Electric is a perfect example of this in action – the 252-mile range and capacity for rapid charging should make living with an EV a hugely enjoyable experience.
Orders for the upgraded Mokka Electric, featuring the 54kWh battery will open in March 2023, with first deliveries expected in the Spring.
